Winter's Little Wonders Mini Album with Fancy Pants Designs Timbergrove Collection

When I saw this collection by Fancy Pants Designs, Timergrove, I knew I HAD to do something with it!  I just LOVE the colours and patterns in it, and, as always, the great mix of embellishments to work with.

What I finally decided to do was a 6x6 chipboard mini album as a class for Scrap Addicts.  I put it together as a kit - and FYI there is one left ;-)  Here is what it looks like:

Cover:

As you see on this page, I used Tim Holtz' Harlequin mask with Walnut distress ink:

The sequins I used are from Studio Calico, but the gold, white, red and blue just went so perfectly!

Back Cover:  I splattered with some brown ink after everything was adhered.

I'm so happy with how it all turned out and now I can't wait to get some of our winter photos in it!!!

Inspiration of the Week Pick and Two Creative Scrappers Sketches with Fancy Pants Collecting Moments

Well I started my day off with some great news - my Reflect layout from last post got picked as Inspiration of the Week over at Let's Scrap!!!  I am so excited about this.  I have picked many an IOTW as part of the Let's Scrap Design Team, but this is my first time BEING IOTW! :-)

Thank you, Jamie for choosing my layout and making my day :-)

I also got a couple sketches from Creative Scrappers done this weekend, which felt great.  When I saw sketch #259 I knew exactly what photos I wanted to use, and I knew exactly what collection I'd use - since I had been eyeing it in Scrap Addicts all last week!!  So I purchased some Fancy Pants "Collecting Moments" on Friday and got started!

Here is Creative Scrappers sketch #259:

And here is my take using the Fancy Pants "Collection Moments" and a bit of Studio Calico vellum embellishments:

And since sketch #260 just came out as well, and of course I had extra Collecting Moments product that HAD to be used ;-)  . . .

Love the way both layouts turned out - the only problem I had was that now I want more of the Collecting Moments collection!!
The ink splatters and mist I used on both layouts was my very first Dylusions purchase - Dirty Martini mist, and I gotta say - love it!!  Will definitely be adding to my collection.
Well, it appears it is time to go and feed the family again, time to sign off!  Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Scrappin'!!

Let's Scrap Weekly Sketch, Double Page Simple Stories Layout, and Shopping My Stash!

Yay!  Two weeks in a row I've managed to complete the current Let's Scrap sketch!  I am part of their January LOAD challenge (Layout A Day) and I might actually get all 31 layouts done!! Well, maybe - 14 days in and I've only done 7 . . .  but lets stick to the one I got done last night!  Here is the fabulous sketch by the talented Debby de Wilde (I think she's a genius, personally!):

And here is what I came up with digging into my substantial Simple Stories collection . . .

The kraft flowers are from Maya Road, leftover from a Memory Workshop kit, and the other two flowers are Prima I think.  The brads are all My Mind's Eye.  Pretty much everything used was from my stash, and at least two years old, so it was nice to finally use it :-)

The little wooden birdie is from Close To My Hearts Wooden Trinkets, and the "cousins" die, well, I've had it for so long I have no idea!!

Freckled Fawn wooden word arrows (love these!).

Side view of the title.  I really love all the colours that played out in this layout and photos.  It always amazes me what I can find to put together just "shopping" in my stash!  With the hobby of scrapbooking, it sure is hard not to be a hoarder ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!

Projects set to expire = Studio J binge!! 16 new Studio J layouts!

I have been plugging away creating layouts in Studio J - a great in front of the TV activity for me, ever the multi-tasker!  Well I had not paid attention to how long I had been doing this for and got an email the other day alerting me that most were set to expire if I did not make a purchase - oops!  Upside?  Studio J shopping spree and happy mail set to arrive next week!!!

So grab a comfy seat, this ones a long one - 16 Studio J layouts!  AND if you haven't discovered this amazing digital program yet, log onto www.andreagreen.ctmh.com and click on Studio J - create your FREE account and start playing!!  You only pay for what you want to purchase!

Another great thing about Studio J is that it has collections that have long since retired in paper form, so if there is a specific collection you loved - like this Grins N' Giggles I used for a kids show in the park - it's always available to you!!

This one I"m sure my family will be thrilled I am sharing!  Almost four years ago now, at Easter dinner, we all decided to take photos using my cousins new photo booth program - what a riot we had!!  Great laughs!  I had totally forgotten that I had these photos until recently and had such fun adding them to a layout!
Want a good laugh?  That's me in the middle right under the word "photo" :-)  Finally got to see what I'd look like with a thinner nose!  Tee hee!

Lastly, I had heard of others using Studio J as a way of printing their photos -since you have the option to set them at any size and there is a "No Limits" pattern that you can select and just fill with photos.  I decided to give this a try with some misc. Christmas photos I'd found in a misplaced folder.  We'll see how they print out and maybe I'll be doing this some more!  Be a great way to get a bunch of 3x4 pics to get my Pocket Pages started with all the yummy Project Life style products available now :-)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Scrappin'!
