Did you know sweet Scrapper . . .

What to do on a lazy Easter Monday . . . hmmmmm . . . scrapbook with my little girl :-) I had begun this layout awhile ago using Close To My Heart's new Sophia line - so wonderfully pink and girly! and decided to finish it when CTMH's Facebook page posted a weekly challenge - post a photo of a project using the Sophia line and the photo with the most "LIKE"s by midnight the 28th wins the Mayberry line - sounds like fun to me!
So here is the finished layout, and if you LIKE it, please feel free to wander on over to Close To My Heart's Facebook page and "LIKE" it :-)

For the title I used CTMH's Colour Ready "Hodge Podge" alphabet. These Colour Ready sticker alpha's are fantastic and so versatile, because they are white to start you can use your inks and markers, or even your stamps, to colour them to your liking.

So easy, even a 6 year old can do it!

Just place the letters you need onto wax paper, ink them to the desired colour and consistency using a sponge, and then peel them off the wax paper to place them on your layout - easy peasy :-)

I wanna shout it from the roof tops!

I am so very excited to announce that I made the Design Team on Let's Scrap for their May - Aug. term!!!!! This marks yet another great new adventure for me in my "new" life and I thank the wonderful, and talented ladies on Let's Scrap for giving me this opportunity. Their announcement of their new Design Team was not expected until the 25th, but happily came early, and on a day that had particular significance to myself. You see, today would have been my 11 year wedding anniversary, but instead it was spent finalizing details of my separation agreement. Although I was getting thru the day better than I had expected, this scrap happy news put a smile on my face that stayed put despite the nasty paperwork :-)
Now it is time for some sleep so I can figure out how to get my new DT Blinkie installed on my blog!! Getting more techie each and every day - but my Dad just wants me to learn to cut my own grass! tee hee!
Have a Happy, Hoppy Easter weeked everyone!

Fishies and Googly Eyes!

I fell alittle behind on my Let's Scrap sketches - this is last week's sketch - but hey, it's finished! I am soooo bad a starting a layout and not completeing it, placing it in my "to be finished" case (yes, I really do have one of these, as well as two "to be filed" cases!) and maybe getting back to it a couple months later! Since joining Let's Scrap however, I have been much more on the ball, yay me!
So this is our trip to the aquarium last Spring. The kids had a blast, and I barely put my camera down - surprise, surprise! I love the bright, cutesy colours in this layout and the silly googly eyes on the fishy stickers :-)

Thought I'd add one more layout I recently finished too, it is with mostly Close to My Heart product, but the best part is the product was all leftover scraps! "My Gym" is a children's Fun and Fitness center that my son goes to twice a week - he calls it his school :-)

Happy Scrappin'!

Bouncy Castle Fun!

Last weeks sketch at Let's Scrap was just so much fun to work with, and I am so happy with the how my layout turned out - it's bright and fun and features my favourite subjects, the kids and their friends! One of the first things my kids ask for once the weather turns nice is to jump in the bouncy castle. It is alot of work hauling the thing in and out (it's like rolling up a 100lbs sleeping bag to store it!), but always worth it to see how much fun they have (oh, and the photo ops too!). Last year we were really lucky on weather - although the Olympic commitee would likely disagree with me here! - and were able to set up the bouncy in February! With friends visiting from Edmonton, home of the Eskimo!, they were thrilled to have such warm weather.
This layout combines We R Memory Keepers "White Out" collection along with Sassafrass' Monstocity - and used up some more scraps in my effort to "shop from home!"

Happy Scrappin'!

Guest Designer projects

Oh my goodness, I cannot believe that March is over already! I'd have to say that March was a pretty good month for me though . . . I got to be the Guest Designer for The Memory Workshop! Sandra does such an amazing job at coordinating pieces from a number of different companies, all in one monthly kit. The creative process of putting a page together is definately my favourite part, but the compiling of elements has never been my strong point so one of Sandra's kits makes this a cinch!

March's kit contained 8 sheets of American Crafts "City Park" line - GORGEOUS!! - 10 sheets of coordinating Bazzill Cardstock; AC Thickers and Delights and Remarks 3-D embellishments; My Mind's Eye buttons; Prima flowers; and We R Memorys embossed tags - as well as two cute trifold cards to use up some scraps on!
Contact Sandra at The Memory Workshop to purchase your individual kit or to sign up for a 6-month membership and save!! www.memoryworkshop.ca

As always, I used my trusty Close To My Heart how-to books for the sketches :-) All four of these pages are from the new "Magic" book.

and here are the two cards:
