Page Drafts Christmas 2013 Sketch Release!

Whew!  What a busy but great day!!  First off, I got my hair styled today for the first time in about 2 years!  I've been growing it out and afraid of a new hair dresser cutting too much off, but the wonderful lady who I finally went to today (I've known her for over a year!) did an AMAZING job and I'm so happy!!!
Then, took the kids to Toys R Us to get gifts for their cousins and a friends birthday and we found great gifts right away - AND I earned $20 in GC's!
Dropped the kids at a birthday party, and despite INSANE traffic in the ice rink that is Edmonton roads right now, I found a TON of great stuff at a Dollar store I hadn't been to in awhile - stocking stuffers galore :-)
Now finally home with time to relax and post my layouts for the Page Drafts Christmas sketch release!!!  CLICK HERE to see all the sketches and other designers layouts - so much talent and awesome inspiration!!

Here is a peek at the five awesome sketches:

And here are the layouts I created - I loved the sketches so much a did all of them!

I used mostly Little Yellow Bicycle's "Making Merry" collection but also used Kaisercrafts Christmas Cheer diecuts (I think that is what it's called, sorry, misplaced the package!  Gorgeous though!!), some old chipboard by K&Co., badges by Studio Calico, stickers by Making Memories, wooden stars by Studio Calico and covered in red glitter by Close To My Heart, and washi tape by American Crafts (glitter) and DeSerres (green stripe).  All in all, these layouts definitely put me in the holiday spirit - finally got my tree up, now to decorate with the kids tomorrow!  Oh, and those presents to wrap!!
Ho! Ho! Ho!!

Happy Scrappin'!

Scrap Addicts Double Double Class with October Afternoon's Silent Night, Plus Bonus Project

On Monday night I had the pleasure of hosting a Double Double class at Scrap Addicts using the SUPER cute "Silent Night" collection by October Afternoon.  We assembled two double page layouts and embellished with the Shape Stickers, Tin Pins, Doo Dads and Red Mini Market letter stickers by October Afternoon, as well as some bling by Zva Creations, jute twine and Christmas stick pins by Little Yellow Bicycle.  I can't wait to add my holiday photos to these layouts!  (Might get me caught up to 2011!!).

* I used sketches from Scrapbook Generation's "sketches for scrapbooking, volume 7"

Sorry for the sideways photo here!

Aren't the reindeer on this layout adorable?!!

Oops! This photo wants to be upside down for some reason!  Oh well, you can still see the detail on the pointsettia sticker and the two pinecones.

BONUS project - I did up another double page layout to showcase more of this gorgeous collection (and because I have a TON of Christmas photos to scrap still!!).  This one I used this week's Let's Scrap sketch for.

Thank you to the ladies who attended this class or purchased a kit - it was a pleasure scrapping with you!!

Merry Christmas!!

3 Weeks of Let's Scrap Sketch Catch Up!

Hello Scrappers!  Can you believe it is only 2 weeks until Christmas?!!  Yikes, I need to get a lot of shopping done still AND finish my Christmas cards that I swore I would hand make this year after "cheating" with photo cards the last few years . . . um, I think it's gonna be photo cards again this year!  BUT have you seen the cards you can make in Close To My Heart's Studio J?!  They are AH-MAZING!!!  Check out my CTMH Facebook page to see what some of the other consultants have done, So I think that is how I'll spend tomorrow night then it'll give me about a week to address all my envelopes so when the cards arrive all I have to do is stuff and seal the envelopes and off they go :-)  Now if I can just find some time to get my tree up . . .

I have been scrapping up a storm lately though for classes and design teams, now to catch up and share them with you here.  First, the last two Let's Scrap sketches:

I did a single page using the left hand side of the sketch and used some Bella Blvd "Snapshots" paper.  This is my girl with her first pair of big girl dangly earrings :-)

The wood word arrows are Freckled Fawn that I got from Scrapbook Nerd awhile back and finally found a good use for them :-)  Love them!

And last week's sketch - one of my favourites cuz it fits so many photos on it!

I used up a good portion of my Fancy Pants "Trendsetter" paper and pieces AND used my Tim Holtz film strip ribbon for the first time - oh my goodness I LOVE it!!!  Such a great addition to any page really, I've used it a couple more times already and can see the need for a refill in the near future ;-)  Good thing Scrap Addicts carries it!!
This layout is an accumulation of photos from a few girls days with my DD.  They usually consist of her getting her hair done or getting accessories (or just trying on accessories!), and a Starbucks drink.  She is definitely more of a girly girl than her Mommy is, but I treasure the time spent with her one on one no matter what we do and hope she'll always want to hang with her Mom.

Staples - always a good cheap addition to a page.

Lastly, here is this week's sketch:

I still need to add some photos to this layout but I did it up using October Afternoon's "Silent Night" line as a Bonus Project for a class at Scrap Addicts this past Monday night.

I love how cute this paper is!

Stay tuned tomorrow for the other two double page layouts using this collection!  Just have to finish giving the lovely ladies who took the class or bought the kit the photos and instructions first - not enough hours in the day lately!

Happy Scrappin'!!
